The Crow Tribe by Zach
The Crow Tribe had many ways of life. They lived in teepees and made their own clothing. The Crow tribe also hunted different animals. They had different enemies, and they had different friendships. The Crow tribe also planted several fruits, vegetables and nuts.
First, the Crow lived in tepees. They were made from 21 poles that were 35 feet long, and they had a fire in the center of the tepee. They also made their own clothing. The Crow tribe made clothing from elk, deer, buffalo, bighorn and antelope they hunted. They hunted these animals with spears bows and traps also used the antlers and bones for tools and weapons. The Crow Tribe not only hunted for furs and skin. They used the animals for food. Along with the meat from the animals, they also planted nuts, berries, corn, beans and squash.
Next, the Crow hunted for animals and used their bodies for weapons. The Crow tribe used the bones and antlers to fight against their enemies. They had conflicts against the Lakota tribe and the Dakota tribe. Conflicts were over horses and land. They traded furs and skins that they collected while hunting along with the white man. They also made treaties with the white settlers.
As you can see, the Crow were like many other tribes. They lived in tepees, made their own clothing, hunted different animals, and had different friendships. This is what the life was for the Crow Indian tribe.
